Hiking Idaho's Historical Trails with Roger Williams.
This presentation includes slides taken on two packpack hikes. One, 250 miles across Idaho's wild midsection from Oregon to Montana; the other through Idaho's incredibly varied backcountry from Nevada to British Columbia. These expeditions intersect trails used by early native Americans; Lewis and Clark and many others during the western expansion.
Roger 'Beaver' Williams retired from the Idaho Fish & Game Department (where as a wildlife research biologist he acquired the nickname "Beaver") after a 30 year career. Along with professonal work, his avocation became backpacking and photographing Idaho's wild places.
